A leading authority on international water issues, Sandra Postel explores contemporary water challenges, innovative water projects, and sustainable solutions to ensure global water security.
Postel is the director of the Global Water Policy Project and co-creator of Change the Course, a national water stewardship initiative awarded the 2017 US Water Prize for restoring billions of gallons of water to depleted rivers and wetlands.
A former National Geographic Society Freshwater Fellow, she is the author of numerous books and articles on freshwater preservation and protection. Her book Last Oasis: Facing Water Scarcity appears in eight languages and was the basis for a PBS documentary.
